Poultry Project

Recognising the importance of food security and economic empowerment, the PGF has launched a Poultry Project. This Project  addresses the challenges faced by communities in accessing nutritious food and generating  a sustainable income. The Poultry Project is implemented in Thaba Nchu, in South Africa’s Free State province, and focuses on the production of poultry products including eggs and meat.

To ensure the sustainability and success of the poultry project, the Princess Gabo Foundation has partnered with AfriForum.AfriForum is a South African NGO that promotes the prosperity of cultural communities. The organisation has a long standing partnership with the BarolongBoo Seleka Traditional Community (Thaba Nchu) and expertise in agriculture development. AfriForum will be the implementing partner for the PGF Poultry Project.
