Kangaroo Wrap Drive

The Kangaroo Wrap Drive is an initiative dedicated to enhancing the lives of infants and their mothers. We champion Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) as the preferred approach for nurturing the well-being and development of infants. KMC offers a multitude of benefits to both mothers and infants. For premature or low-birth-weight infants, KMC provides a warm and stable environment, aiding in regulating their body temperature and reducing the risk of hypothermia. Furthermore, it supports infant nutrition, as it encourages breastfeeding, which is vital for their growth and development. 

 

 At the heart of our mission is the distribution of  kangaroo wraps to healthcare facilities across Africa, ensuring that mothers have the opportunity to experience the benefits of KMC. As part of our dedication to creating a positive impact, the Kangaroo Wrap Drive not only promotes the well-being of infants and mothers but also empowers women in the Thaba Nchu region by providing them with opportunities for skills development and employment through the production of our wraps.
